Future Bruin, Brooklyn Moors, earned third place at Canadian Nationals over the weekend, with a score of 108.840. Fellow competitor Ellie Black took first, while Ana Padurariu took second.
Moors also placed 1st on beam, 2nd on floor, 5th on uneven bars and tied for 8th place on vault. After two days competing, her event scores were 28.099, 27.066, 26.475, and 27.200 respectively.
Moors has committed to UCLA for the 2020-2021 season. She is deferring until then, as she has high hopes for making the Canadian Olympic team.
UCLA commit Jordan Chiles of the USA will also be deferring college to try for the Olympics.
Moors has accepted a full ride scholarship to UCLA and she is “thrilled to be a part of the Bruin family.”
