Brooklyn Moors Wins Gold on Floor While Danusia Francis Makes History at Pan Am Games

Future Bruin Brooklyn Moors took home the gold medal on floor exercise for Canada on Wednesday at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Scoring a 13.900, Moors beat out USA gymnast, Kara Eaker, for the number one spot by a tenth of a point. She also competed in the uneven bars final on Tuesday, where she placed sixth.

Former Bruin, Danusia Francis, made history at the Pan American Games by being the first female gymnast from Jamaica to compete in the all-around final. Francis ended up placing seventh in the competition while also placing seventh in the balance beam final, where she suffered an unfortunate fall on her series.

The gymnastics competition has officially ended in Lima and the girls are now heading home.
